What the *****? TV can be plenty great. Shows like Sesame Street, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, Reading ***** Rainbow and Arthur are all great for kids. Discovery Channel, History Channel and NatGeo also have great stuff. The big news channels, while usually having mindless celebrity news are also a good source of information. And there's no harm in watching fun shows as well.It's all about moderation. Obviously tons of TV isn't good, but tons of anything isn't good (except maybe sex although at some point your balls start hurting, or so I hear). A good mix of TV, books, and playing outdoors = win. Too much emphasis on any one thing = lame.
