According to Secunia, http://www.secunia.com IE8 is a less vulnerable browser than Firefox 3.5, and add to the the fact that IE8 runs in "protected mode" on both Vista and Win 7, I can't understand why Firefox is always referred to as the superior browser, at least from a security perspective..
